Thursday, November 10th the deadline for the 2nd annual Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show arrived with 50 submissions for the runway!  Now the challenging jurying process begins. Twice the entries and more diverse and eclectic than last year, designs range in categories from global impact to altered extremes.  Materials like cat food bags, candy wrappers, old playing cards, negatives and slides, and even a kiddy pool are envisioned into carefully crafted environmentally savvy high fashion.  Stay tuned for coming preview pictures.  Only 4 weeks to go!

Save the date and come to the show or become more involved!  The deadline for being a part of the event is NOVEMBER 10TH. Don’t miss out!  Whether you are excited to share your fashion on the runway, promote your business and environmental practices, share and sell your creative gear in the marketplace, or support REALMS’ art education and sponsor the entire event;  there are multiple ways to get involved.  Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show is a fundraising event, hatched by two teachers,  for the art program at REALMS Charter School.  All of the information can be found in “pdf” files on the sidebar.

Don’t miss the 2011 Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show!

Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show fuses environmental responsibility, funky fashion and community. Join other socially conscious individuals for an evening of sustainable fashion,showcasing styles that the future demands. We invite you to reconsider the value of trash and celebrate the creative, sustainable spirit of Bend.

Rooted in a love of fashion, an appreciation of art and a passion for the planet, Rubbish Renewed Eco Fashion Show is a fundraising event for REALMS Charter School’s Arts Program. An eclectic, wearable art runway show, a live and silent auction, and a gallery-style marketplace (where contributing local artists sell and showcase their work), will showcase how we “fashion” our lives while lessening waste.

REALMS arts education inspires students to share content knowledge through artistic expression that synthesizes experiences and educates others about our world.
