Designer: Heidi Lamb Model: Kristin Chandler Materials: Vinyl coated nylon, plastic plexiglass, and paint Sustainable Practices: Eastlake Framing has a long-standing commitment to supporting community. Instead of discarding framing scraps they collect and donate materials and in-kind framing to schools and local non-profit organizations reducing and reusing waste.

IDA’S CUPCAKES – Cocoa Chanel

Designer: Autumn Persinger Model: Chanel White Materials: Worn-out frosting bags, a ruined apron, and irregular cupcake liners Sustainable Practices: At Ida’s Cupcakes nothing goes to waste! They use cake tops to make caboodle parfaits. Oddball and leftover cupcakes are given away during happy hour or donated to places like The Giving Plate. Damaged boxes and broken bins are reused by staff or used to store nonfood products. Anything they can’t reuse, they recycle. Ida’s Cupcakes even has been known to feed some local pigs!

GEAR FIX – Overall InTENT

Designers: Nico Brilmyer & Avalon Disko Model: Avalon Disko Materials: scraps of worn out tents, rubber and Birkenstock foam, broken hangers, & buckles Sustainable Practices: Gear Fix creates inclusive opportunities for continuous engagement with the outdoors through selling and repairing quality used outdoor gear. This decreases the cost of getting outside and helps people recreate while keeping materials out of the landfill. Highlighting companies that do their part in making quality gear that lasts, also reduces the overall environmental impact.

LONZA – “Lab Luxury”

Designers: Kelly Donahoe, Alex Gerber, Liz Ramos, Kari D’Angona Model: Kelly Donahoe and Alex Gerber Materials: 2019 and 2020 Rubbish garments deconstructed, old stained lab coat, company bag and old company shirt Sustainable Practices: Lonza’s Vision Zero is an initiative to continually strive to reduce their impact on natural systems and the environment, conserve energy and resources, assure safety, health and wellbeing of their employees and help to improve the quality of life in the communities in which they operate.

ALOHA BLINDS – The Blind Design

Designer/Model: Hailey Liederman Materials: Materials used for Aloha Blinds & Designs were salvaged from old/damaged shades and outdated sample books that were otherwise headed to the trash Sustainable Practices: Aloha Blinds promotes energy efficient shades to reduce heat loss & heat gain through windows/doors, and shades made from a sustainable fabric created from recovered shoreline plastics. They reuse & recycle packaging and encourage repair over re-buy.

TIINA & ZOEY DESIGNS – Walk in Beauty – Auction Item!

Designers: Tiina McDermott (French Canadian) Zoey Lane (Chiricahua Apache) Model: Jacqui Warren (Diné – Navajo) Materials: Made from a second-hand rug, fur & motocross rubber, second-hand shoes & accessories Sustainable Practices: Tiina and Zoey Designs create sustainable couture by using trash and other used mediums to design runway fashions and unique commission pieces that supports a healthy planet.

RESTORE – The Rekilted Groove

Designers: Michelle Dennis and Dawn Volz Model: Austin Parker Materials: LP’s, construction vest, bolts, wire, paint can, and donated fabric pieces Sustainable Practices: Sustainable shopping isn’t always about organic cotton and recycled plastic shoelaces. Sometimes it’s about discovering the perfect tile for your kitchen remodel from someone’s donated scraps. Shopping at ReStore helps support the construction of Habitat homes that are built for energy efficiency using net-zero, net-zero ready and half-net design. These affordable homes ensure families have every opportunity to thrive and grow.

HUMM KOMBUCHA – Humm Warrior & Humm Gladiator

Designers: Mae and Michelle Mitchell, Dana Thatcher, Amy Cronin, Piper Cronin Models: Michelle Mitchell & Kendra DeYoung Materials: Plastic – film, cable, 4pk holders and pail tops; can and bottle caps; signage, labels, and coasters; chicken wire and tap handles Sustainable Practices: Humm Kombucha partnered with Oregon Shines and Energy Trust of Oregon to offset their energy consumption. This year, 100% of Humm’s Taproom and 85% of the brewing facility is powered by solar and they will continue to reduce their overall energy consumption over the next 3 years. In 2022, they cut their water waste by 36% and currently Humm is engaged in initiatives to further reduce their carbon footprint.
